Black Belt on the East Coast.
He has trained more than 35,000 students promoting more than
700 to Black Belt.
He is a retired Police Officer and a former U.S. Marine
highly decorated while serving in the Vietnam War.
He is President of the World Martial Arts Federation and still teaches his skills
worldwide to various Martial Arts, Law Enforcement and Military agencies.
Danny Lane's Cardio Kickboxing workouts can
burn up to 1000 calories per hour, the high end of the fat-burning scale, as opposed to

JOE LEWIS! Former World Heavyweight Champion, known as the Father of American
Kickboxing. Voted by his peers as the "Best Fighter" of all time. He is a legend
in the Martial Arts and Kickboxing fields and is in high demand on the Kickboxing and
Fitness seminar circuit. Joe is a former U.S. Marine and served in Vietnam.
JOHN MAYNARD! A 6th Degree Black Belt trained
personally by Danny lane, Joe Lewis and Chuck Norris. John is the driving force behind
this tremendously successful National Kickbox Fitness Certification Program. John is also
Director of 7 Champion Karate Studios in the Wilmington, NC area. John is a 5 time
National Karate Champion and has fought Internationally in many countries. John is also a
professional certified personal trainer.

TRAINING PHASE 1!
SONG 1 (UP TEMPO)
1. PURPOSE: TO ELEVATE THE HEART RATE AND BODY TEMPERATURE
AND TO MOTIVATE THE MINDSET OF THE CLASS!
a. MARCHING IN PLACE:10 count....Knees up, pull with the
arms.
b. JUMP JACKS: mini, 1 set of 10 rotating 90 degrees right.
c. JUMP JACKS: scissors, 1 set of 10 rotating 90 degrees right.
d. ROPE JUMP: single, 1 leg double, both legs, both legs double time.
e. SPEED BAG: both hands 2 count, single hand, both hands double.
(finish out 1st song)
TRAINING PHASE 2!
SONG 2 (slower pace)
1. WARM-UP STRETCH: PURPOSE, TO LOOSEN UP THE BODY TO PREVENT
INJURY AND ENHANCE PERFORMANCE!
a. spread legs twice the shoulder distance wide with knees locked and arms lifted over
head. Several deep inhalations and long exhalations. (2)
b. bent over elbows touches to floor (5)
c. bent over elbow touches to each foot . (5)
d. grab ankles and hold the head towards knee for 3 seconds.
(2) each side.
e. Raise upper body only with legs still spread wide: pelvic
push, shoulder stretch and back stretch.
f. isometric trunk twists left and right, opposite arm high
above the head.
g. oblique stretches, left & right all the way to the
floor to grab ankles.
h. Pivot left for hamstring, quadriceps and groin stretch.
Pivot right and repeat. Bring both legs in to shoulder distance.
i. Arm circles, small then large. (forward and backward).
TRAINING PHASE 3!
SONG 3 (Up Tempo)
1. UPPER BODY: PURPOSE, TO EXERCISE THE ARMS, SHOULDERS,
BACK, OBLIQUES, LEGS & HEART!
a. FIGHTING STANCE (CLOSED STANCE): left side forward, bounce back and forth (2 step)
switch feet & repeat, shift back to left side forward.
1. SHUFFLE STEPS: 3 count forward, backward, left & right. (3 sets)
b. CROSS PUNCHES (OPEN STANCE): feet horizontal 1 ½ times the distance of the shoulders
apart. Guard up, develop a rhythm, then single cross punches at 45 degree angle. 2 sets of
10 each direction.
c. OBLIQUE PUNCHES (OPEN STANCE): feet horizontal 1 ½ times
the distance of the shoulders apart. Guard up, keep the rhythm, then single cross punches
at 90 degree angle. 2 sets of 10 each direction.
d. OBLIQUE PUNCHES with a STEP BACK: feet horizontal 1 ½
times the distance of the shoulders apart. Guard up, develop a rhythm, then single cross
punches at 90 degree angle. 2 sets of 10 each direction.
e. CROSS PUNCHES DOUBLE TIME: 1 set of ten.
30 seconds rest.
TRAINING PHASE 4 (slower beat for legs)
1.LEGS!
a. FIGHTING STANCE: left foot in front.
b. KNEE LIFTS:Front & Rear with rhythm, 1 set of 10
c. KNEE LIFTS: Front & Rear with elbow touch, 1 set of 10
d. FRONT STRETCH: 1 set of 5
e. OUTSIDE STRETCH: 1 set of 5
f. INSIDE STRETCH AND SPIN: 1 set of 5

a. With GUARD up develop a rhythm with the class and dip low and raise up on toes shifting

c. ADD the uppercuts to the chin. 1 set of 10
d. BOUNCE IN FIGHTING STANCE to MUSIC (10-15 seconds).

a. CUTKICK "2 STEP" EXERCISE: Develop a rhythm and shift back & fort with
the hip and hand movement.
b. ADD the knee chamber
c. ADD the opposite side elbow coming across to meet the opposite knee.
d. ADD the extension of the kick with a quick recoil.
