Questions & Answers!
How much does it cost to join?
The 10 Volume Video Series is $249.95.
How do I achieve Rank?
Join the World Martial Arts Federation, buy the videos and train by practicing and perfecting the techniques on the video for that rank and submit your test by video to Master Lane. If you pass you will be awarded that certification of rank and your new color belt. Your testing handouts will be emailed to you before each test.
How long is the Black Belt Program?
The Black Belt Program is set up on a 3 year program if starting as a beginner. Training should be 3-5 times a week for 6-10 hours. A student can advance in rank every 3-6 months through the 12 rank levels. Rank is achieved by testing and passing the belt requirements and being promoted to that belt. Someone with certified rank is placed in our system based on their skill, rank and time in grade.
How long is each program?
There are 12 ranks UNDER BLACK BELT. The first year you can advance every 3 months. The second and third year you can advance every 6 months up to 1st Gup Red Belt. Then you're ready to take the 1st Degree Black Belt Examination.
How much can I save by training at home? Thousands!
Average monthly rates in the United States at an accredited studio is $103.00 per month. That totals to $3708.00 per year. Some studios are more and some are less, it depends on where they are located and how qualified the instructor is. This is for monthly tuition only and not counting testing fees, equipment, private lessons, tournaments and other activities the studio may offer.
Testing fees are $50.00 per test on average for under Black Belt rank and there are 12 ranks in most systems. That's another $600.00. The test for Black Belt is $150 or higher so that's another=$750.00.
You must then consider and calculate the TIME and DISTANCE it takes you to driving to and from the studio each class 3 times or so per week. The basic calculation is 3 times per week driving a half hour each way calculates into 156 hours driving each year. If the studio is about 20 miles each way then you would drive 6,240 miles for that year to and from classes. That would be 312 gallons of gas at 20 MPG or another $1000 for gasoline. So you can see this adds up over a period of time to be around $6000.00 or more to test for Black Belt in a commercial studio.
What's the Advantages to training at home?
SAVE MONEY! Enjoy Freedom! Save Time! Train on your own schedule! Train with Family! No Travel Time! No Gasoline! No qualified studios close to you.
What's the disadvantages to training at home?
You're NOT getting the day by day and hands on instruction that being in a studio setting can offer but the mirrors and watching the videos over and over gives you the feedback you need to perfect the techniques.

What equipment will I need to train?
1. A Training Room big enough to work out in like a 12x12 foot section or close. Padded Carpet is nice, however I bought a padded rubber mat 12x12 for my home studio to do our ground work and falls.
2. A mirror on the walk is essential to critic your every move especially in the beginning. It gives you instant feedback and helps you correct your technique. Watching yourself in the mirror and perfecting the techniques are crucial when learning all techniques. A wall mirror 4x6 is usually large enough but my whole training floor has mirrors on one wall.
3. A stand up heavy bag to focus power in the your punches and kicks. If you have a training partner, a body shield and hand held pads are useful to focus your speed and power.
4. Most of all you need a well disciplined attitude, determination and drive and the persistence to train long and hard hours, weeks, months and years to achieve, succeed and meet your goals.
